This page explains how to request deletion of personal data that Vinyard holds, including data obtained through connected messaging platforms such as the WhatsApp Business Platform. For more on how we handle data, see our Privacy Policy.

If you have a Vinyard account (a business)

You can delete your data in two ways:

When you close your account, we delete or de-identify your account data, connected-channel credentials, and conversation data associated with your workspace, except where we must retain limited information to comply with legal obligations.

If a business messaged you using Vinyard

If you are a customer who exchanged messages with a business that uses Vinyard (for example, over WhatsApp), that business controls your conversation data and decides how it is used. To have your data deleted, you can:

How to submit a request

Email [email protected] with the subject “Data deletion request” and include enough information to identify your records — such as the email address (for accounts) or the phone number (for WhatsApp conversations) the request concerns. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request, to protect your data.

What we delete

We may retain de-identified or aggregated data that no longer identifies you, and a minimal amount of information where retention is required by law.

Timeline

We acknowledge deletion requests promptly and complete verified requests within 30 days. Backups are purged on their normal rotation schedule.
